So, tell you my story, eh? Alrighty. First I was a zygote, then later, I became an embryo... eeeh, fast-forward 3 decades, and here we are.

I'm a free-thinking, educated, sarcastic, funny, IQ-in-the-stratosphere kind of guy. I'm not shy; I'm loud and in-your-face Monday through Thursday; quiet, calm and easy-going Friday to Sunday. Schedule subject to change.

Part of my own personal growth and spiritual development concerns becoming more aware of the moment and the subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) details of what's going on around me. Friends often describe me as a Nutty Professor type, because I can make esoteric references to 18th century French literature or give a rambling lecture about the Second Law of Thermodynamics, but sometimes have a hard time getting out of a building because I'm pulling on a door marked "PUSH."

I used to say that I like kids about as much as your average black guy likes the Klan. The truth is, it's not really the kids I dislike so much as it is the parents who raise them.

I read three newspapers a day and keep up with what's going on this-here rock orbiting the sun. Career-wise, I've made my living at various times as a journalist, musician, editor, but mostly as an entrepreneur. I've spent the better part of the last decade running various manufacturing companies, but, as cliche as it might sound, I decided to get out, and pursue something that helps others, has real meaning, and is something I look forward to doing each day. So I started a small business, working with lower-income families who want to get their lives in order and buy a house, but can't qualify to do so -- and I help them change that.

I love to travel and see the world. I've been a lot of places, but that's the cool thing about living on this third rock orbiting the sun we call earth-- there's always more to explore. I realize it's not feasible for everyone, but it never ceases to amaze me how many people don't put much effort to travel much beyond their own ZIP code. There's a whole world out there, people, full of wonder and mystery and other cultures.
